April is a Registered Nurse who prepares patients for surgery and cares from them afterwards. Patients interact with April throughout their procedures – she performs hands-on tasks like monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and starting IVs. She also educates the patient through each step of the process based on the patient’s health history with a focus on setting the patient up for success at home after discharge. The smile she sees on her patient’s face after a transformation inspires her to prioritize excellent care in each job, big and small.
April’s education, culminating in a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Concordia University-Wisconsin, her 7 years’ experience working on a Medical-Surgical unit in the Mayo Health System, and 9 year experience working in the Recovery Room at Beaver Dam Community Hospital prepared her to offer excellent care to each patient she meets.
When April is off the clock, she prioritizes time with her family and friends. She enjoys activities that include time with her husband and 2 boys. They enjoy boating, jet skiing, water skiing, and sitting around the campfire while up north in the summertime. April loves watching her oldest son play baseball and basketball and enjoys hours of farming and building Star Wars Lego sets with her younger son.
