A little over four years ago, Samantha was a very different person inside. She was self-conscious. She wore big clothes that were baggy on her, and almost never wore a swimsuit. “I was basically flat as board, so they say,” she said with a laugh. “I didn’t even want to get naked. It was so embarrassing for me, and I’d always wear one of those Wonder Bras, the kind that add two cup sizes. And even then, I’d be too worried to wear things like tank tops. It was something that bothered me every day of my life.”
Samantha decided to schedule a consultation with Dr. Bartell. Right from the start she loved his personality and confidence. She was able to ask him every question she had, and even voiced her concerns. In the future, Samantha wanted children, but she wasn’t sure exactly when that would be, which worried her. “I know that many women have cosmetic surgery after having kids, not before, and I wanted to make sure there would be no complications, that I’d be able to breastfeed when I did decide to have children. Another concern,” she added, “was stretch marks.”

The more she talked with Dr. Bartell, the more satisfied she became with him and his practice. “He told me that I would be able to breastfeed no matter what, without complication, at any stage in my life after the surgery. I was so relieved to hear that, and so happy to know I would not have any scarring. The more we talked, the more at ease I felt with Dr. Bartell. We even joked about how long he’d been in practice, that it was longer than I had been alive! Ultimately, that, too, was important to me, how much experience he had. When I realized I had nothing to worry about, I knew I had made my decision.”
After the procedure, Samantha was pleased to find her recovery was easy, just as the surgery had been. “I didn’t drive for two weeks, and I babied the area. By the time I was fully healed, I couldn’t stop smiling. Everything looked and felt so perfect, so natural. The day I went in for my final post operative appointment, I found that I was disappointed…it was the last time I’d see Dr. Bartell and his staff!” Samantha had grown very fond of everyone at the office, and was told that she could come and visit anytime.
Now she is a changed woman. She’s more confident, happier with her figure, and even enjoys wearing clothes she never would have dreamed dressing in before the procedure. “The first thing I did was go bra shopping. Then I went out to find as many cute tops as I could. It’s not an embarrassment anymore, it’s a joy. Dr. Bartell made me feel more feminine, more at home in my body. He changed my life.”
