This 25-year-old woman wore a regular A or small B cup bra and wanted to have a modest size increase. She was healthy and had no other medical problems. Using the consulting cosmetic book the patient helped determine the exact size of the implant to be utilized. During the augmentation surgery, the implants were inserted through small incisions made under the patient's arms. The procedure, which was performed under general anesthesia, went very well and she reported no problems at all after the surgery. Three weeks following her augmentation procedure the patient was still having a little bit of tenderness along the ribcage, but she had returned to her preoperative activities without difficulty. At her three month check-up, the patient reported no problems and showed excellent symmetry with regard to size and shape. The scars were still a little pink, but they were soft and flat and were anticipated to fade nicely. The patient was very pleased with her finished size and overall post surgical appearance.
